Rebecca has over 15 years’ experience as a Solicitor in Dispute Resolution. She has built a reputation for dealing with complex dispute resolution across a wide range of sectors, spanning both national and international clients, while being recognised as a leading expert in Equine Law.
Rebecca provides advice to assist in future proofing businesses and business growth; she actively provides advice regarding her Client’s contracts and agreements (ranging from lease/loan/sale agreements, agricultural agreements, livery agreements to T&C) in order to try to avoid future disputes and help them protect themselves, and/or grow their business so that her Clients can get on with doing what they are passionate about.
Rebecca has advised Clients on a wide range of disputes, spanning individuals, commercial clients, in-house counsel teams of large multinational organisations, charities and private individuals. Her expertise ranges from contract disputes; defamation disputes; directors' disputes; and shareholder disputes.
Rebecca is nationally recognised as being one of the leading experts in Equine disputes. Rebecca advises on matters arising from all aspects of horse ownership, management and/or commercial dealings. She is a keen horsewoman herself, and has owned and ridden horses all of her life, currently owning two horses that she competes regularly. This puts her in the fortunate position of not only understanding the complex nuances of equestrian ownership and businesses, but also being able to advise Clients how to protect themselves should they find themselves in need of legal advice relating to disputes with another party, be that a business partner, supplier, livery or a purchase or sale that has not turned out the way it was hoped.
Rebecca advises a range of national and international clients, ranging from individuals to Olympians, professional riders, livery yard and landowners, event centres, equine sporting professionals, breeders, horse owners, veterinarians, dealers, tack shops, clothing brands, equestrian-related businesses and equine charities (to name but a few).
Rebecca acts for a number of high-profile animal and horse charities, working closely with the legacy officers to help them deal with complaints and assist them to protect and maximise their legacy income in a way that is consistent with the charity’s values and reputation.
Rebecca is a regular keynote speaker at events such as The National Equine Show, Your Horse Live, and Yardwise, and regularly writes for a number of publications such as Horse and Hounds, and has been Your Horse Magazine’s legal expert for over 10 years.
Rebecca advises Clients across a wide range of Agricultural disputes, ranging from farming partnership disputes, through to general contract disputes and other related litigation matters.
