New Bexley Beaumont Structure 'Sign of Business Maturity'

The Team is made up of Nick Capper, Bexley Beaumont's Head of Compliance and Risk, Head of Finance Sharaz Hussain and Jacob Bewicke, its newly-promoted Senior Marketing Executive.

Bexley Beaumont co-founder and Chief Executive, Karen Bexley, said that whilst all three had already made important contributions to the firm's growth, the team's creation was another indication of the business's maturity.

"We have come a considerable way in a relatively short time since launching six years ago, something made possible by having a very clear and distinct idea of how to make a real difference to how legal services are delivered.

"The Senior Leadership Team is part of the process of ensuring that continued progress is both manageable and transparent, helping the board determine and refine strategy, allowing our lawyers to work more even effectively and - most importantly of all - providing clients with the support that they need.

"It underlines how we can combine the kind of structure associated with much larger, traditional law firms and the flexibility required in today's legal industry.

"We regard it as reassurance for those individuals and organisations who have come to rely on us - keeping sight of how we have made impact even as we expand our services and grow our partner numbers.

"In Nick, Sharaz and Jacob, we feel that we have the ideal people for the task. They have helped make us more effective across critical areas of our business and will ensure that we remain heading in the right direction.

"That is true for our compliance and financial obligations, as well as supporting business development for current and prospective partners.

"We are confident that it all bodes very well for the next phase of our growth and well into the future."

Ms Bexley's comments follow another year of positive momentum for Bexley Beaumont in which it added senior figures to all of its main legal functions, including Real Estate, Commercial and Employment, and created a new Tax Dispute Resolution unit.

Last year, the firm's partner numbers increased to 75 out of an overall staff roll of 123 and it topped an influential ranking of growth by firms outside the country's top 50 legal brands compiled for the second successive year.

Mr Capper has made an immediate impact since joining in September after seven years in a similar role with one of the North West's biggest brands, Hill Dickinson, and spells with some of the country's best-known telecommunications operators, IT and security consultants.

He arrived 18 months after Mr Hussain, who had built up an impressive reputation during more than a decade in senior roles with major brands in a range of business sectors and industries, retail, media and professional services.

Mr Bewicke, meanwhile, has been with Bexley Beaumont since September 2023. His promotion, said Ms Bexley, was deserved reward for his efforts in developing the firm's marketing operations and raising the profile of Bexley Beaumont's brand.

She added that his marshalling of the marketing effort had been "instrumental" in the firm's partners nationwide being able to generate more work and Bexley Beaumont's growing reputation.
