Emily Carey is a commercial Real Estate Partner with over 35 years PQE in private practice and in-house spent working in England and France. Emily’s core clients are owner-managed businesses, SMEs, landlords with small and mid-size portfolios, as well as private individuals, including HNW families.

Commercial property was the focus for the first few years of Emily’s legal career. A period outside real estate work (commercial acquisitions, corporate compliance, software licensing with Nasdaq and Euronext listings) provided business experience giving an insight into the practical side of her clients’ business requirements.

This may involve collaboration with internal teams, with external advisers such as accountants and surveyors or with specialist Bexley Beaumont lawyers for cross-discipline projects.

A common sense and plain English approach is appreciated by her clients, especially those for whom property is not their main focus and who are not property professionals.

The Bexley Beaumont structure encourages lawyers to establish on-going relationships with clients, beyond the one-off transaction. The model enables effective use of time to meet clients in person, to visit their sites and tailor strategies to ensure that client outcomes are fully understood and achieved.

  • Land transactions such as options, overages and promotion agreements

Outside the office, Emily walks, plays badminton and enjoys Power Yoga and music festivals.
