Business Support Leads to Promotion for Bexley Beaumont Corporate Lawyer

Phil Miles has become a Partner at Bexley Beaumont two years after joining as Legal Director.

The firm's co-founder and Chief Executive, Karen Bexley, described how, in that time, Mr Miles and his colleagues had dealt with a steadily increasing volume of work for companies both large and small nationwide.

"Since Phil arrived, we have seen continued strong uptake in the services provided by our Corporate team to companies throughout the country.

Mr Miles has built up considerable experience over the last decade advising SMEs in a number of sectors on a range of corporate transactions, including sales, acquisitions, investments and joint ventures.

Ms Bexley said that Mr Miles had made an immediate impact after joining Bexley Beaumont in March 2024, following spells with a number of familiar legal brands, including DLA Piper.

She said that Midlands-based Mr Miles had provided even greater strength in depth for the firm's operations in the region.

The latest good news for the Corporate law team comes hard on the heels of expansion as a result of a rise in the property finance work handled by Bexley Beaumont's Real Estate specialists.

Bethan Watt's promotion to Legal Director just 12 months after she joined from a City of London firm has coincided with the recruitment of paralegal Chantelle Leon.

Just weeks before that announcement, Bexley Beaumont was buoyed by the news that it had become one of only 38 law firms nationwide and just three headquartered in the North West to become a B-Corp.

It achieved the prestigious international standard for sustainability and governance after a rigorous two-year assessment, recording one of the highest scores of any qualifying legal practice in England and Wales in the process.
