The prize aims to recognise those organisations able to demonstrate the benefits of putting the "well-being, welfare and advancement" of its employees and partners at the heart of their operations.
Bexley Beaumont's co-founder and Chief Executive, Karen Bexley, said that the shortlisting vindicated the decision to focus not just on the excellence of the firm's work but the degree of support for the individuals doing it.
She added that it also provided clear evidence of Bexley Beaumont's standing within the legal profession.
"When we launched, we wanted a positive culture to be more than just a fine ideal but something which actually underpinned what we do on a practical basis.
"That is because we very firmly believe it to impact not only how our lawyers and support staff feel about working at Bexley Beaumont but how people outside the organisation - our clients and legal peers - think about us.
"Everything that we do is affected by our desire to retain the best possible workplace environment.
"Our success has made us a place where lawyers want to work but we only seek to appoint those people who fit with the existing team and culture.
"These are not standards imposed from the top down but are maintained from within, thanks to an annual firm-wide survey to help us determine our strategy.
"As a result, we have developed a series of initiatives - BBConnect, to foster effective collaboration; BBAcquire, to assist with winning of new business; BBElevate, to promote the development of new skills by continuous learning; and BBWellbeing, to support good mental and physical health - to enable our colleagues to deal with the challenges which can come even as they enhance their careers.
"We feel that by doing our best in this regard, we not only make ourselves a better business but very much one with a conscience."
The British Legal Awards, which are hosted by Law.com International, are now in their 16th year.
They claim to be "the benchmark for excellence in the UK legal sector", honouring " the brightest minds and boldest leaders in law".
Even before this latest shortlisting, Ms Bexley outlined how Bexley Beaumont's approach appeared to have struck a chord with others in the legal profession.
Earlier this year, the firm was Highly Commended in the New Law Business of the Year category at The Lawyer Awards.
It was named as a joint winner of the UK Business of the Year category at the International Brilliance Awards in London in January.
Those awards were made to firms considered by judges to "have made significant contributions in their fields, demonstrating leadership, innovation, and commitment to excellence".
Bexley Beaumont's awards success also followed its being named as the UK's fastest growing large fee share firm in the classification compiled by Codex Edge, an independent company specialising in market research about the legal profession.
It found that Bexley Beaumont had seen its partner ranks grow by 30 per cent during the course of 2024.
The firm's placing in the latest Codex Edge report comes just a month after its impressive record was also singled out for further praise by the professional consultancy PwC due, it said, to Bexley Beaumont having "a clear plan for its direction of travel".
