Jude Owen, who is a solicitor-advocate having previously qualified as a barrister, has become the latest vastly experienced lawyer to join Bexley Beaumont as a Dispute Resolution Partner.
Over the last two decades, Cardiff-based Mrs Owen has represented numerous clients nationwide in complex civil and commercial disputes.
Despite only launching in 2020, Bexley Beaumont recently topped an influential legal industry study for the fourth successive year.
The report, by the legal technology and market intelligence specialist Codex Edge, praised Bexley Beaumont as having "real clarity and purpose".
It also found that the boutique firm boasted one of the sector's highest talent retention rates.
Bexley Beaumont's co-founder and Chief Executive, Karen Bexley, has described Ms Owen's arrival as clear evidence of its growing appeal to many of the country's leading lawyers.
She added that plans for additional recruitment in the principality in the coming months were already well-advanced.
"Having Jude join us is yet another powerful indication of how lawyers who have already made their mark in England and Wales recognise that we represent the ideal environment in which they can develop their careers still further.
"We offer greater autonomy in how they work and the opportunity for more collaboration with colleagues in complementary legal disciplines than they might find elsewhere.
"We also place a premium on providing the kind of excellent support that allows them to thrive.
"Year after year now, the Codex Edge report has shown that approach clearly works for our lawyers and clients."
Mrs Owen was called to the Bar before also qualifying as a solicitor-advocate, meaning that she can represent clients in all civil courts, including both County and High Courts, in England and Wales.
Over the course of more than two decades, she has amassed considerable experience handling complex commercial, property and probate cases on behalf of clients right across the UK.
She has also recently found herself dealing with disputes involving digital assets and the use of artificial intelligence (AI).
0Successive governments have sought to reduce the strain on civil and commercial courts by encouraging would-be litigants to settle disagreements using non-court dispute resolution (NCDR).
Despite being a proven and formidable litigator, Mrs Owen is a practising mediator and an accredited member of the Institute of Arbitrators - two of the most popular methods of NCDR.
She joins Bexley Beaumont three years after the firm made its first appointment in South Wales.
Family lawyer Eleri Jones joined as a Partner in Bexley Beaumont's Private Wealth team, which has since seen a "strong rise" in its workload, according to Ms Bexley.
Bexley Beaumont's expansion follows another strong year, during which it became one of only 38 law firms in England and Wales to be certified as a B-Corporation.
It achieved the prestigious international standard for sustainability and governance after a rigorous two-year assessment, recording one of the highest scores of any qualifying legal practice in England and Wales in the process.
With offices in both London and Manchester, Bexley Beaumont now numbers 91 solicitors nationwide and has been recognised with a series of awards for the strength of its business since first opening its doors.
Having already been named Boutique Law Firm of the Year at The Legal 500 Northern Powerhouse Awards and claiming the Business Growth title at the Modern Law Awards, it was chosen as UK Business of the Year at last year's International Brilliance Awards.
