An environmental lawyer with over 20 years’ experience, Emma wins praise for her exceptional knowledge and practical common-sense approach.

Emma works with individuals and businesses on all aspects of environmental regulation, water resource and waste management, soil and water contamination, clean air, noise, dust and odour issues and the natural environment including protected species and habitats, trees and hedgerows.

Emma combines her legal expertise with a sound understanding of the technical and scientific backdrop to support her clients with their environmental permitting needs, enforcement action and/or prosecution for environmental offences and the environmental aspects of corporate, real estate and planning projects including Environmental Impact Assessments. Emma also regularly acts for clients in judicial review and statutory appeal proceedings and in claims relating to environmental damage.

With an interest in cross-boundary environmental issues, Emma has worked as a research assistant at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. Emma’s undergraduate degree is LL.B (Hons) Law with French, in the course of which she studied at the University Robert Schumann, Strasbourg and obtained the Diplôme D’Etudes Juridiques Françaises.

Emma is a member of the UK Environmental Law Association (UKELA) and a trustee of CL:AIRE (Contaminated Land: Applications in Real Environments), a not-for-profit organisation providing resources such as training and Codes of Practice for those involved in sustainable land reuse.
